Not jam, it's a jelly!

Pics are from school. :) A couple of fun stories -

For months now, well before Christmas, like your siblings you mastered the artists in "Feed Matisse's Fish". We read the story and tell you the name of the piece of art, and you say all the artists in a very cute toddler way.

"Goldfish" - Matisse
"The Migration" - Lawrence
"Girl with Braids" - Modigliani
"Chop Suey"- Hopper
"Birthday" -Chagall
"The Flower Carrier" - Rivera

You know them all!

Your new favorite book is Who Done It and Help! My monsters are on the loose!

Within weeks, you found all the monsters and know immediately where they all are now.

In Who Done It?, you are shown different characters and then asked a question and you are supposed to answer/pick the correct character. One of the questions is "Who ate too much jam?"

You reply- in a kind of angry/funny way- "It's not jam. It's jelly!" And then pick the right character.

Goodness- you sure are opinionated..and funny.

Fun times in T4-

You had some nice, no jacket needed, weather in January!

Ms. Angel said that you are very particular about your lunch and if anything gets out of place, not in the right cupcake holder, you fix it before eating. Uh, oh - type A in the making!

Ear tube surgery

Thursday, January 10, 2019

At the end of the year, we finally got a good hearing test that revealed there was mild loss in your right ear, most likely due consistent fluid (since January) around your ear drum. Dr. Wooten - your ENT, recommended bilateral ear tubes, and we got them done quickly on the last day of the year. You and Mommy had to be at Vandy by 6am!

Here you are- all dressed up and ready to go. You loved playing with all the cars and even drove one to the OR. There were no tears that I saw, and surgery took all of 10 minutes.

I went back to see you when it was over and you were awake. You were groggy and unhappy that your car was gone! You said you didn't want to leave and wanted to keep playing with the car. I distracted you with apple juice and we were home by 8a.

Later that day - you seemed fine and even stayed up late for our Kids Minute to Win It party.

Then just this morning - we went back our follow-up and you did wonderful on the hearing test and it revealed normal hearing. Yay! We go 1 more time in July, then hopefully we are done.

Here you are - as T4's super friend. You finally became "super-friend" last week. I hope it was well deserved!

Potty Trained

Saturday, January 5, 2019

Junie-

We went cold turkey Thanksgiving weekend and did our special hand holding technique when we were at home. And 4ish weeks later, you were fully potty trained!

We were worried about #2 for a week or so, but when we came back from Memphis after Xmas, you just did it. Then you went back to school and we're going on the 2nd week of no accidents! Nice! We knew you could do it!

Nighttime training is also going great. We put you in a pull up, but most mornings you are dry. The times you aren't - Mommy/Daddy slept in and didn't get you in time. Plus/minus of you still being in a crib and not having a monitor. :)

1st weekend, and 1st day of no accidents!

You pooped on froggy potty!

Post- Xmas- 1st day of school, no accidents. Maybe you put in too many bathtub dye colors!
