T-1 Pics

Monday, July 31, 2017

Your new teacher Ms. Christina posted a bunch of photos from T-1 last week.

My favorite is of you - apparently taking a morning cat -nap while your friends are playing. Ms. Christina says that she tells you all if you're tired in the morning that you can lay down if you want. I guess you wanted to.

See - here - in the back -

You kept the pig tails in all day!
 Nice pose -

Mini-Camp Grandma

Thursday, July 20, 2017

Mommy got a couple days off from June-duty and shipped you off to Camp Grandma for a couple days. Sounds like everyone had a great time. Maybe next year, we'll try a couple more days and maybe you'll start waking up a little later than 5:50a.

The trip down was a little rough and you didn't get into bed until 9ish, and Daddy didn't even change your clothes! The next morning - you look a little hung over -

Morning walk before it got too hot -

 At library storytime -

You finally got the the big ball -
 Home made water play -
 Turned into a boat/pool!
 Pudding - art
Edible art -
Afternoon playdate with Aunt Robyn and Jackson - Jackson thought you were hilarious. I was glad to hear you didn't beat him up. :)

Won't sit still with Grandpa -

You had a quick visit with M and Poppy before heading back home. It sounds like the trip back went a lot better and you slept in till 7a this morning. Thanks Camp Grandma!

Tiny Toddler Room

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Junie-

Mommy and Daddy found an extra room in the house! Well we turned the office into your tiny room. I love it and it's my new favorite room. Maevy loves it too and wants to switch. I've already got ideas for how to modify it when you're older.

It's got everything you need - bed, clothes, books, toys, a little bit of floor space and a reading/cuddle chair. I got determined when the big kids were out of town and we knocked it out over a long week and finished up the doors the following weekend.

The transition was easy or at least you didn't seem to notice. So far, it hasn't been issue with hearing us at night or waking everyone up - since you're the first to go to sleep and the first to wake up. Some mornings Maevy even gets you out of bed, gives you your milk, brings out some toys to the main room...and then casually watches you. We're usually just a few minutes behind to change your diaper and give you breakfast.

You hate when we close the doors - if you're awake or not about to go to sleep. Weekend naps are going okay, but sometimes starts with a minute of tears. Here you are - post 3 hour nap, 1 hour of which I ended up sleeping with you in your crib...and then snuck out. That was uncomfortable -

Other fun updates -
- Your hi/bye wave has gotten better with more flair - it's more of a wave now
- Blowing kisses has gotten better and you'll even lean in for a mouthy kiss
- I heard you say bye this morning.
- You prefer screaming or yelling at us when you are hungry - which is all the time
- You love torturing your big sister and big brother - by purposely chasing after them, crawling on them, pulling their hair, sitting on them, slapping them or attempting to bite them.
- Now when you are done at the table, you stand up in your chair and then step out onto the table - if we let you. We play a game of "sit down June" and you just laugh in our faces.
- Still rough and tumble - you prefer face first down slides and feet first off of beds. No tears.
- You do love sitting in the "lap spot" if we're on the floor - but you don't stay long.
- Lately you've been dabbling on the piano and you think you're pretty good.
- You're currently in a class of all boys - except when Scarlett is occasionally there. You seem to be holding your own. :)

Love you bugs,

Mommy
